Cute Puppy Alert!!!

This is Merlot, the newest addition to my pack. Merlot is a 5-month old black and tan Chihuahua, and boy is she a real pistol! She's wearing her newest sweater in these photos, which was an early Christmas gift from her Grandma.



Merlot really does love hugs and she's has quite a following at my day regular job (yep, I sneak her in!). She spends most of the day curled up on our desks or sneaking in little siestas on the laps of my coworkers.

Swanky pictures of your stylish dogs.

A few of you have asked if your dog or cat can be featured in our Swanky Slide Show. The answer is, of course! All you need to do is send us a picture of your dog or cat wearing their stylish swankypet.net gear, along with their name, and we'll add it to the front page. Our swanky webmaster just asks that you make sure to send a photo that has a horizontal aspect ratio (meaning that it's wider than it is tall), otherwise we might not be able to use it.

Collars for a Cure.

I've agreed to sponsor my friend Amani in her goal to raise funds for the Twin Cities Breast Cancer 3-Day walk benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The 3-Day is a 60-mile walk done over the course of three days, and all money raised is used to fund breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

This will be Amani's 5th 3-Day walk. She participates in the 3-Day to honor the memory of her grandmother, who lost her battle with cancer in 2002.

In order to help Amani reach her personal goal of $2200, swankypet.net will donate $5 for each Pink Ribbon collar, harness, or lead sold through August 24th, 2007.

It's a Swanky Christmas.

One of my customers, Bob, sent me this photo of him and his bulldog Cornelius (also known as "Corn Dog"). This will be their Christmas card for this year. That's one swanky looking pooch...check out his custom-made bow tie to match his En Fuego harness!

I almost forgot! About a week ago I added two new "camouflage prints" to the swankypet.net family. The first one is Reporting for Duty, a desert camouflage print meant to honor the brave men and women who have served (or are serving) our country. You can find it, along with all of my Stars & Stripes collars, in the Patriotic Collection. The other camouflage-inspired theme is Hunting for Wabbits, a realtree camouflage print that creates the perfect style collar for your little hunting companion. You can find it with the rest of the Novelty Collection.

New Holiday & Christmas Prints!

It's holiday season! To get your dog or cat in the festive spirit, I've added three new prints to the Seasonal collection. The new prints are "All I Want for Christmas," featuring a seasonal red collar with bow-wrapped dog bones, "Let It Snow," a pale blue collar featuring holiday snowflakes, and "O' Christmas Tree," an evergreen collar featuring -- what else -- Christmas Trees!
