For those of you in the Phoenix area, come see us at the Chandler Farmers Market today from 3pm-7pm. The market is at the Dr AJ Chandler Park on Arizona Ave and Chandler Blvd. There is a lot of great produce, artisan bread, tamales, olive oils as well as great arts and crafts.

Meet Bella, a beautiful boxer who is pictured here, on Superbowl Sunday cheering the Pittsburgh Steelers onto victory. Bella and her owner, Sherri live in Simpsonville, SC and ordered Bella's collar so she could look 'swanky' for their Superbowl party. We think she looks devine.

At long last....February's Winner!

I have to apologize for our blog's absence for a few weeks. Thankfully, it is up and running now, so check back often for the latest swankypet.net news, promotions and specials!

I'm happy to announce the winner of February's drawing....Peggy Falk and Odie, of course. Peggy and Odie live in Manistee, Michigan and they have a great story:

"This is Odie. He was a rescue from the mean streets of San Antonio! He has seen it all for he has the scars to prove it. My grandsons Tavaris (5 yrs) named him Leo and Tyler (4 yrs) named him Otis so we now have Otis Leo alias Odie-ban-dodie'ski or just plain Odie :0) He is about 2 1/2 - 3 years old and is the nicest mannered dog. My daughter Jess who lives in San antonio and adopted him last July from a pound there. They didn't know if he would make it, he was very thin and very sick. Jess nursed him back to good health and the pound paid for his medical care. She thought he would be a great companion for my Grandson. The boys were a little too rough for him, they need a bigger dog. So, Nana brought him home the 1st part of December. He is shivering all the time for he is used to hot San Antonio! He where's sweaters 24-7, sits by the heater vents when the furnace is running or sits by the fireplace when we have it on....too funny! He's a keeper.."

Odie is one lucky dog to have so many people caring for him in his life. He's a cutie, too! Thanks to Peggy for sending in some cute photos of Odie in his Caliente! collar. As the monthly winner, Peggy will select a free collar of her choice!

Swanky Cougars?

I always love receiving photos of your pets in their new 'Swanky' wear and hearing their story, but this customer email is something special:

"We just received our two new collars and absolutely love them. They are now being worn by two cougars: 6 year old Lakota (in photo) and 10 year old Ashukalee. They love it when they get new jewelry! Ashukalee wouldn't pose because she was strutting around proud of her new "bling."

Lakota and Ashukalee both were rehabilitated by me from near death illnesses and now live a happy spoiled life and do education programs to school children on endangered species. Lakota is a very special boy because he is an excellent swimmer. I cannot go in my pool without letting him join or he whines! He will stay in the pool all day and even dive to the bottom to retrieve toys. They are a handsome pair in their gorgeous collars. Thank you so much."

Gloria is the founder of Cougar Ridge Education Center in Havana, FL. where she is licensed to exhibit large cats and currently lives with two cougars, Lakota and Ashukalee and a Siberian Tiger named Casanova.
